The Most Certain Sure

One could easily spend an entire afternoon lost in the International Folk Art Museum of Santa Fe. We certainly did. It’s impossible not to be caught up in the thousands of richly organized pieces of folk art from all over the world. Each glass display case presents a new scene of peasant life, complete with artifacts from a time when art was less visual and more functional (toys, amulets, family records). And the museum offers a colorful respite after spending a few days in Santa Fe, where earth tones are the norm. But be careful: the collection could take an entire day to digest. So it’s best to walk around the perimeter first, making your way through in a spiral fashion, keeping track of ground you’ve already covered.
