After spending two days in New Orleans for New Year’s, here is a catalogue of acquisitions that were sampled by my stomach: Wood fired oyster roast, fried alligator with chili garlic aioli, spicy grilled pork ribs with watermelon pickle, deviled crab, Louisiana pork with cracklins, oyster and bacon sandwich, smoked brisket, potato salad, pineapple upside down cake, icebox lime pie, catdaddy moonshine, soft shell crab po boy, seafood gumbo, a raw oyster, seafood platter (crawfish, oysters, fish), side salad, Bloody Mary, daiquiri, Sazerac, lobster bisque, house smoked Andouille, fresh beet and goat cheese salad with jamon serrano, escargot fondue with house cured bacon, pork chop with chili mole glaze and sweet potatoes, scallops, boudin encrusted whitefish drum, white Bordeaux, banana cream pie, chocolate soufflé, and a muffuletta sandwich.
